The District again will sponsor a Summer Food Service Program for Children. All children ages 1 through 18 are eligible to receive free meals during the summer months at participating program sites. Individuals ages 19 through 21 who have been identified as having mental or physical disabilities and are following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) through their current enrollment in educational programs also are eligible for free summer meals.  Meals will be provided June 5 through August 18, 2017, at the following sites:

Barack Obama School (5800 Glenwood Ave)
Maple Hts. High School (1 Mustang Way)
Serving times:  Breakfast:  7:30 – 9:30 a.m. and Lunch: 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.

Food must be consumed on site.
Sites will be closed July 4, in observance of Independence Day.

are please to inform you that our district will again be eligible for the new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program called the Community Eligibility Option (CEO) Program for this school year.

What does this mean to you and your children attending our schools?
All students enrolled in the Maple Heights City Schools are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household during each day of the 2016-2017 school year.  No further action is required to receive free meals.  Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application.  In conjunction with this program, there will be no a la carte items sold in the cafeterias so there will be no need for money to be deposited on account for students. However, approved beverage vending machines are available in the cafeterias at Milkovich Middle School and Maple Heights High School.  Vending machine purchases are optional and require payment.

In the past if a student received free means they were automatically approved for a fee waiver.  With every student now receiving free meals, you must submit a form to be approved for the waiver of student instructional fees.  This form must be completely filled out, signed and returned to your child’s school.  Families should submit one form with all family members’ names. This waiver form must be completed annually for each family.
