Welcome from the Principal

My name is Justin Harnist and I am the proud Principal of John F. Kennedy Elementary School. In our school, we believe that students are important, they matter and they are loved. Students are given high expectations of excellence and are expected to succeed in and out of the classroom. We believe in a shared partnership with parents and community members to promote a positive and cultivating learning environment for all students.

The faculty and staff at John F. Kennedy have three goals for the 21-22 School Year:

  • Increase the attendance rate for all students.
  • Create and sustain a positive learning environment and school culture through P.B.I.S. (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support) and have academic and social growth for every student.
  • Increase the reading achievement levels of all students through engaging work, data-driven decision-making, and develop a lifelong love of reading and learning.

In addition to these goals, JFK will continue to strive to meet the district’s mission of “Educating our students through expectations of excellence, to prepare them for a lifetime of success.”

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Go Mustangs!!!
