>AUGUST 15 - SEPTEMBER 15, 2019

Attention All Staff Who Have Medical Insurance With Maple Heights City Schools:

Open enrollment this year for anyone wishing to make changes to their insurance benefits officially begins on August 15, and runs through September 15, 2019.  You will be able to begin signing up for an appointment to make changes at the convocation on August 19th.  We will have a table in the back of the room for you to register if you are interested in making changes.  We will then contact you to set up a time for you to discuss those changes and fill out the necessary paper work.  You may also email me indicating that you are interested in changing your benefits.  All benefit changes are effective October 1, 2019.

This does not include those people who may have a qualifying event, such as getting married, having a baby, a spouse losing a job, or divorce, and others you can ask about.  Those events make coverage effective the date  that it happens.  You still need to contact me to fill out the necessary paperwork within 30 days of the qualifying event, the sooner the better.  If your status change is not submitted within 30 days, benefit changes cannot be made until the next year’s open enrollment.

Finally, please take the time to read the attachments that are sent to you as required by law.  There is some good information.  All of these attachments also appear below.
