• School Closings/Delays:

UPDATE - JULY 31, 2020:  MHCSD WILL START THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEARFULLY REMOTE (Online learning)

    Dear Maple Heights Families,

On the evening of Thursday, July 30, the Cuyahoga County Board of Health (CCBH) made a recommendation that schools in our county should start the school year remotely.  Based on this health safety recommendation, combined with several other sources of data and information, the decision has been made to start the 2020-2021 school year in the Maple Heights City Schools in a fully remote platform

We will spend the week of August 3rd thinking through the details we need to put in place to make this a successful opening for students, families and our staff. I anticipate we will be able to share those details by the end of next week.

I do want to especially recognize and thank all of those who volunteered their time, gave input and worked hard to try to answer questions as we prepared for our hybrid opening.  I know it may be frustrating that you dedicated so much effort into a plan which will not start our school year.  Please know that at some point we will need to return to school with students and your work and ideas will be used when we are able to integrate our students physically back into our schools.   Thank you again for all of your effort and hard work.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Charles Keenan
    Superintendent
