Superintendent's Office

Welcome to the Maple Heights City School District

SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE: November 2023

As we conclude the first quarter of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your ongoing support and collaboration. The District website highlights some of our students' accomplishments during the fall semester.

Our students have shown dedication to their academic success, as shown in the student-produced articles from middle and high school students. They have exhibited growth in their knowledge and skills across various subjects.

Our student-athletes have displayed talent and sportsmanship. I am proud to announce that our girls' volleyball team is now LEL (Lake Erie League) State Champions! They have shown tremendous dedication during practices and games, constantly striving for personal and team best.

Young leaders at Barack Obama Elementary School stepped up to represent their peers and contribute positively to their school community by working diligently on various projects to enhance school spirit, foster unity, and organize events that promote inclusivity and friendship.

Our youngest Mustangs showcase their "MUSTANG PRIDE.” The students highlighted showed they had P.R.I.D.E. They were Prepared, Respectful, Invested, Determined, and Engaged.

I want to acknowledge the success of the Fathers Walk event. I was fortunate to witness many fathers and father figures who accompanied their children to school, demonstrating their love and support. I extend my gratitude to all the fathers and father figures who took part in this heartwarming event and encourage them to continue their invaluable presence in the District.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership in ensuring the success of our students.

Sincerely,
Charles T. Keenan
Superintendent of Schools
