No School for students from March 17th through April 3rd
In accordance with Governor Mike DeWine’s decision to close all schools in Ohio, our district will start Spring Break for students beginning on Tuesday, March 17th. This Spring Break will last at least through Friday, April 3rd. School will not be open for students during this time. We are trying to find ways to the best accommodate our families after hearing of this decision as we prepare for the next three weeks.
On Monday March 16th, we will open our schools for families who are unable to get childcare in place by this day, and students will be able to go through a full day of school. Students who attend school on Monday will be given a learning packet for them to work on over this extended Spring Break. We are asking parents who will not be sending their child to school on Monday to stop by their school during the school day on Monday to pick up a learning packet for your child over the break.
Additionally, we understand how important it is that every child has access to nutritious meals, so we have made the decision to provide breakfast and lunch for students during weekdays of all three weeks of this extended Spring Break.
Meals during March 17 through April 3rd
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided to students throughout this period (Mondays through Friday). Grab & go meals are available to students between the hours of 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. for breakfast and 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for lunch at Maple Heights High School, Milkovich Middle School and Barack Elementary School. Students can go to the school which is closest to their home to pick up these meals.
As we receive any additional guidance we will continue to update you with new information through our website.
