Maple Heights Battles Hard in 51-50 Loss to Fuchs Mizarchi
Maple Heights honored its senior class while battling Fuchs Mizarchi in a thrilling contest that came down to the final moments. Despite the strong effort, Maple Heights fell just short , 51-50, in an emotional senior night matchup.
The program recognized five seniors for their dedication and contributions: Brooklyn Dillard (#1), Jovanah "JoJo" Nichols (#5), Robyn Hardwick (#14), Morgan Wright (#24) and Jaylah Davis (#32). The group has played a major role in building the foundation and culture of Maple Heights basketball, leaving aa lasting impact on the program.
Senior Brooklyn Dillard led the way with a dominant performance, finishing with 30 pts and 10 rebounds to secure a double- double. Dillard also filled the stat sheet with 4 assists, 6 steals, and 1 block showcasing leadership and determination throughout the night.
Fellow Senior Robyn Hardwick added 14 points and 6 rebounds, along with 1 assist and 1 steal, providing key scoring support and steady play on both ends of the floor.
Freshman standout Kaniya "KK" Campbell continued to show her rising potential contributing 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals while making a strong defensive impact. Stepping up in the absence of Senior Foward Morgan Wright, who went down with an injury in the first half after recording 5 rebounds.
As a team, Maple Heights showed impressive discipline and ball control, committing a season low- 8 turnovers , a testament to their focus and execution. While the scoreboard did not reflect the outcome Maple Heights hoped for , the night served as a meaningful celebration of the senior class and their contributions to the program. The team looks to carry the momentum and lessons from this performance into future competition.
